I agree when paying that much money for a gun you should not have to do anything to it but shoot it .I will tell you that every gun that I have bought had to have a little tweaking in someway or another .My marauder had to be gone over before shooting it but after the initial set up that gun has worked perfect shot after shot it has been my favorite gun thus far.I only hope the evanix is going to be as reliable .I to was concerned when spending so much money on these expensive airguns but after spending some time shooting them I feel they are the most enjoyable and  practical  guns out there.

That was my review & as I said I have a pre-porduction model.  All my findings were sent to Evanix for correction,  Similar to a beta tester for software.  The issues were the holes in the magazine were a touch small for 2 of the pellets I was using.  The JSB Monsters & 18gn heavies.  The problem was because these pellets have wide skirts they were rubbing the sides of each hole, so I made the hole bigger. All other pellets fit fine.  The stock lined up with the tube fine. from the factory there was a 1/8" gap @ the fore end between the air tube & stock.  The gun worked fine, I just didn't like the gap so I used a dremel to remove a couple of wood shavings on the inletting to get rid of the 1/8" gap.  There was nothing wrong with the stock hammer spring I just wanted a lower fill pressure, a few more shots & 40fpe instead of 48-50fpe the rifle shoots stock.  In stock form the gun is shooting 48-50fpe for 20 shots then the next 10 go down to 40fpe.  I now get 30 shots between 38-40fpe w/ Barracudas/Kodiak pellets.

Not really any changes to make that require one to wait it's just a matter of cleaning up the inletting  a bit.  The magazines are the same one's used buy the Blizzard.  In fact when I bought a extra mag it is listed as the Blizzard/Rainstorm mag.  Soon it will be those 2 plus the Monster & Windy City.  as far as the tune to 38fpe...... Ace Hardware $.69 spring.  The barrel polish & clean is the Greg Davis job from his website for the Mrod.  It went from 3/8" to one hole @ 30 yards.  I wouldn't fell right asking for cash for these simple tunes.

Hi Mac, in your Rainstorm review part 2, you said that the M-rod baffles were solid.
The baffles in my M-rod aren't solid at all. They resemble film cans with a hole in the bottom.
When they are stacked together in the shroud, they create a baffle with separate chambers.

Yes, but the material they are made of is solid plastic.  The Rainstorm pre-production gun I have has baffles that look like womans hair curlers.
