Crosman Remington NPSS Update

Thought I would update the status of my Crosman Remington NPSS .177 and problems I had with inaccurate grouping and the outer barrel turning.  
I called Crosman and they agreed to repair my barrel problem, they sent me a postage paid UPS label and I sent it back. I added a note in the box saying that if they couldn’t fix my gun and if they were going to replace it, if they could upgrade me to the .22 cal. (someone recommended this to me on here, cant remember who)
It took about a week and I received my brown box via UPS.  I opened it up and to my surprise not only did I receive a brand new sealed gun, but the .22 version.   Thumbs up to Crosman for their customer service!
 
I have put about 80 rounds though her and I have to agree with what others were saying that it does group a lot nicer.  I’m planning on ordering some pellets, and from what I’ve read, the heavier seem to be more accurate, "H&N Baracuda Match .22 Cal, 21.14 Grains" and
"JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.1 Grains".  Might also try a sampler pack as longislandhunter recommended.

Now on to my major booboo.  
Tonight while shooting the cell phone rang and being distracted when I came back to the gun, I thought I had a pellet in the bore, I didn’t.  I accidently DRY FIRED IT!  Have I majorly screwed up my gun? Maybe taken some life out of the piston?
I'm not sure, I would like to hear some feed back.

It's not good to dry fire a gas ram but it's not as serious as it could be with a springer. Not to worry.

I have the Crosman/Remington NPSS .22 which came with a Centerpoint 3x9x50 scope.  I put about 50 pellets through it before I zeroed it and it shot great ever since.  I've been shooting 14.2 gr RWS Super-H-Points and 16 gr Predator Polymags through it and they both are very close to the same zero.  I've sent seven squirrels to the big feeders in the sky with it so far.  We're over run with tree rats here.  I changed out the trigger for a CharlieDaTuna CBR and the difference is unreal.  It went from about 5 1/2 pounds down to about 1 1/2 pounds.  Can't say enough about those triggers.

Maybe I'll have to order one of charlies triggers, if the difference is that much better.  Are they easy to install?  
We have the same squirrel problem here in MN, they sure love bird feeders.  Haven't sent any here to the  "Big feeder in the sky" LoL

The triggers are very easy to install.

He is right it is very easy to install. Once you get the action out it takes about 3-4 minutes to do. Have to check my crony when the sun comes out brighter. The best my gun shoots is 635 with 16gr and 695 with 14 gr and a bunch of errors. Had 2" of snow last night but it is gone now. You will like the trigger from Bob way better compaired to the original.

I ordered the CBR Trigger from Charlie, Looking forward to the difference.  Do you think your accuracy was better after the install?

I don't know if it's more accurate, but it's a lot easier to shoot with the new trigger.  I think the gun was accurate to start with, but the factory trigger made it harder to shoot consistant groups with the heavy trigger pull.  You'll like the CBR trigger.
