Here's hoping the wait is short, and the enjoyment is long !!!!

Let us know how you like it.

Well, its here and very nice. Of course they came when I was tilling in the garden. Thank Goodness that the dog started barking when it arived so that I could sign for her. I am going through her wiping things down and doing a little inspection. Is there anything in particular that I need to keep a eye out for?

Yes, you may have oil in the barrel.

When I got mine, first thing I did was break the breach open and look down the barrel. It looked  clean so I didn't clean it. First pellet went off as loud as a 22 rimfire and almost as much smoke as a flintlock !!!  I recommend you clean and patch the barrel very dry before shooting.

There may be a bit of smoke with the first few shots, but that should clear up soon, if it's still showing smoke in the barrel after about 50 shots you may have to replace the seal.

Check that all fasteners are tight.

The trigger will not be good - no matter how you adjust it. I also recommend ordering a Tuna trigger as soon as you can.

Well, I wish you would have caught me before I went outside. The first shot out was a Gamo Rocket @ 1793 FPS and LOUD!!!! If there were any seals that needed to be seated then it is now. When  every thing settled down.
Gamo Rockets ----------- H&N Rabbit Mag II------------------- Predator Poly------------------- H&N Barracuda
High    932 --------------- 678------------------------------------- 835-------------------------------765
Low     905--------------- 647------------------------------------- 823--------------------------------757
Avg     916--------------- 657------------------------------------- 829--------------------------------762
FPE     26.6---------------23.6------------------------------------24.4--------------------------------27.2
SD       8------------------ 9.-------------------------------------- 3------------------------------------2.23

I will be checking out this again in a month to see if it settles in more. I figure that after a few more tins and she will smooth out more.
At 20 yds the Predators grouped .75" the Barracuda's grouped 1.25" Rabbit Mags grouped 3"
I think that the Rabbit Mags need more RPM's to stabilize.

Carl,

Looks like another XL that likes Predators.

So far, mine does best with the Preds.  But it sprays Superdomes so bad that I wouldn't have believed they were shot from the same gun.

What size groups did you get from the Gamos and the Barracudas ?

The Barracudas were about a1.25" and I am not sure of the Rockets. I was more interested in getting the fps and not trying for groups, and of course I ran out. I think I may have another tin in the safe. Only thing with the rockets was that I had to remove the little fins left by the mold. If I get time today I will check them out.
