No Barrel Band gap filler
« on: April 29, 2010, 03:18:15 AM »
I was scrounging around looking for something to fill in the gap that is left when you take the barrel band off, and discovered that standard plumbing washers fit nicely.
This was all I had at the time, but I think black flat rubber washers would look even better then the o-ring style.

What do ya think?

To be honest with you, I really don't see any difference in accuracy.
I am very happy with my .177 M-rod, it exceeded my expectations.
Greg Davis and some others say that the barrel band is more trouble then it is worth, and affects the accuracy of some guns.
I am considering buying a tube extension from Greg, and was considering removing the Band, But I don't really want to pay another $22 for his aluminum free floating collar, because I'm cheap. LOL
So I was just seeing what I could come up with.
How you doing with yours?

Cool...Yeah I was looking at his extender, not bad. I'm shooting mine right now, it's doing good now that all the kinks are worked out. holding Air like a champ, shooting great.

now all i have to do is get some crows with it...so far the Disco has 2 crow kills 15.8 Jsb & predator. So it is the mrods turn next

oh yeah...i just found out my mrods loves the cheap crosman pointed pellets, i mean really likes them! so they need to make bigger tins of those pellets
