Was time to step into the Darkside
« on: May 23, 2010, 08:15:06 AM »
Well after buying and shooting several springers, I decided to take the plunge and buy a new Daystate Air Wolf MCT .22 with Hawk Eclipse scope. This rifle take pellets that don't do well in a springer and puts on target. Thank you AoA for prompt service and quick delivery!!

Thanks guys,
I wanted something a bit different that will last me a while.
Now all I need is a good source for 300 bar air, all I can find is 180/200 here locally.

Jeez!  If you're gonna jump that far, why not roll another few feet and get the MVT and get the onboard chrony and flat screen display!  We'll be anxiously awaiting a review :)

Bodiej,
Good question, but I believe the MVT wasn't an option, or at least not shown on AoA's website...heck, maybe I missed it.  I guess if I need a chrony I'll go out and buy one so I can use it with all my rifles, also, the MCT has a LCD display which show number of shots fire, air pressure remaining the tank and power setting. I'll write a review after I've had a chance to shoot out to 100 yards...right now my yard is limited to under 40 yards, but at least I can shoot everyday after work. So far I'm just trying out different pellets to see what is likes best.

Gerald,
Thanks!  BTW, what kinda critters you'll have down your way? Do you shoot targets or hunt/pest control? I spent nine years in the tropics (Panama) and don't remember too many pests that could be shot with air rifles. We had plenty of grackles, but since they ate mosquitoes, we left them alone.

Cleapage.... In my case,  I live in the city and there are not pest in my area or close to me.

I just shoot to metal and paper targets until 100 yards at the range every Friday.

I read that you are at Texas, that is a beautiful place. I spent 7 months there with the Air Force and I liked a lot.
