lovely shooter...

I got a B51 in .22 that i swapped the hammer spring for a weaker one, from sears none the less. I was looking to have a slow .22 to avoid overpenetration and to quiet down things. well the results are that now I have a rifle that shoots crosman premiers at 670 FPS average, is quiet than the proverbial mouse"s fart, it stacks pellets at 24 yards (and it is within a 1/4 inch above or below the line of sight from 8 to 32 yards) and get this, it only takes 1400 psi to fill! if you go higher it locks the valve as the spring is not strong enough to open the valve. "you must be recharging every 5 shots" you say... Nay! i get 45 shots before the speed drops to 650 FPS. that is where i stopped (at 700 psi) and recharge. It is a great backyard pest control tool, and it really shines with pellet placement. Varmint beware...
