Looks alot like the Trail.  At $150.00 I think I will check my local stores to see if they have them.

Looks like, but it's missing most of the best features of the Trail NP.
It only has a  muzzle brake instead of a fully shrouded barrel.
No sling, or a way to  mount one.
No welded on Weaver scope rail.
Only a  fixed 4x32  power instead of the 3-9 x 40 AO scope that comes with the Trails.

And only about $70.00 to 75.00 less than the Trail NP.

For someone who doesn't care for those features, it looks like it could be a fun gun. It'll be interesting to see if it can use a Tuna trigger, and hear how it compares in weight, cocking effort, loudness, and pellet speeds to the Trail NP .

thanks AIC, That is what I was wondering, what the differences were to warrant the lower price. Will look out for the reviews to see
what the numbers are.

I was surprised to see the same "70% less noise" claim on the box of the Titan, considering the barrel is not shrouded.  I've removed the shroud from my XL, and it's considerably louder.

After I looked at the XL box again, I saw the claim only refers to the noise from the nitro piston vs. a conventional spring, over the entire shot cycle.  In other words, the nitro piston isn't (necessarily) significantly quieter than a spring, but the shot cycle is much shorter, so the accumulative noise it makes can be stated as 70% less than a spring.

The $150 price for the Titan seems nice but you will probably have to replace its 4x32 scope with a decent one and that makes the $70 savings a wash in my book. Also, like Paul said the Titan has no fixed weaver rail or sling mount and sling (free $20 value on the Trail NP).

I caved when I saw the gas.  This was the first .22 gassy ram I had ever seen out in the wild......there it was, waiting for me to buy it and try it!
Glad I did, but it's going back.  The NP is a better machine by far!

Have only put about 50 pellets thu it....scope sucks but - killed 2 blackbirds, 3 sparrows, 1 crow.  I love the .22 pellets and the impact!!!!!!

I noticed that too.  Must be a real good "muzzle break". I'm interested to find out how it compares to the Trail NP's fully shrouded barrel.

good question.....Seems everyone I've heard of buying these keeps taking them back even though they are shooting good. Except a guy on the yellow who put a Grt trigger in his, those are respectable numbers for a .22

The numbers are inline with that of the i forgot who but their np was shooting like 680-750 fps. so those are good numbers

who cares about all the extra stuff, this a bang for the buck gun.

I'm pretty sure I saw a post on the yellow where the guy said he replaced the trigger with a GRT......

So from what I gather is the Titan is a decent gun on a budget, bang for the buck kinda thing, because if you have to get better rails and a scope and still have less features sounds like what the guy said the NP Trail would be the better choice,  I just got the Remington NPSS a couple weeks ago first in my collection and already want to get a .22 to see how they shoot, I was hoping this new Titan was going to be a possibility, a justifiable reason to spend 150.00 so soon after my other airgun purchase :)
