I was born and raised in Philadelphia, and can assure you that the frogs you had, weren't from Phila. area !
Thanks for the kind words, Gordon, Each year three or four of these beasties appear in my pond, as if by magic, and begin to eat my fishes, and try to eat my 6 - 9 inch breeders. I also must be vigilant to watch for Cranes and Gray Herons, as they too love my pond fish. Ijust chase them away, and have two bronze, life sizes statues ofHerons thatmake them nervous and confused.I have dispatched over 30 - 40 Raccoons over the last 21 years, but I haven't seen one, or signs of one,in the last three years ! I must be doing a fine job with them. If I keep this up, I'll have another post here.
