I then ended up with 3 layers left to be stuck together. Again I used the dremmel to neaten up the edges and into the clamps for the final time.

Clamped over night I can't wait for it to come out. Then the fun starts. The imagination runs wild. What shape? HMMMMMMMMMMMM.

All glued together and you have an inletted blank ready for your shaping skills.

Out of the clamps and the shaping begins. I started on the pistol grip as it has to hold comfortably as a start.

Andre, this like watching " This ol Airgun Workshop" from start to finish. I see a nice grain pattern forming out of the grip, great work and keep it coming. Ed

After a bit of rough shaping you'll end up with a stock look alike. HAHA

This step of the shaping is done with something that sands a lot at a time. I use an angle grinder with a heavy duty sanding disc.Take it slow though as if you remove too much you can't get it back. Stick whatever but pad you are using on the back to shape to and then do the rest of the shaping off that. I've done a curved cheekpiece as I find it more comfortable. After the shaping is done you need to sand it smooth. Thats the hard part.

It's turning out real nice Andre. Sanding it smooth is the easy part tho. Use a random orbit sander for the big areas and a moto tool with a 1/2" sanding drumm for the tight spots. The finest grain that I can find on the drums is 220, so I glue strips of 320-800 on them, but 400 is plenty smooth enough. 8)

This is what it looks like with the action inside.

This is what I'm hoping to achieve.

I prefer sanding by hand as I found the electric sanders a bit rough for my liking.

Andrea, are you going to make the comb and butt adjustable, or are you just going for that color? It's going to look real nice either way. Always wondered what a plywood lam would look like, thought that the ply laminates would make a nice patern and it does. I always glue finer paper on my sanders and it comes out real smoooooth.

I'm going to do the adjustable but and cheekpiece. Might even do an adjustable palm rest. I'm undecided about that. Once finished it is getting a Forest Green stain and finished off with the Birchwood Casey stock oil. Then a good buff up for a deep shine.HEHE
