CFX engraving for those who are curious
« on: June 09, 2007, 09:02:27 AM »
Here's a couple pics of the engraving on my 22 cal CFX.. Looks like it is a bi-caliber receiver eh?

I shot it over the chrony today.  678 with CPHP, 736 with Gamo Match Wadcutters, and 770 with RWS Hobbys.

This rifle shoots 1000fps like my GMRS bubblepack radios go 26 miles :)

I think that too Ed, but both engravings are on the receiver not the barrel.  Doesn't really mean anything but it's fun to talk about.

My gun came with the same markings.  Kinda neat..... a conversation piece at the very least :)

Never seen markings like that on a GAMO before now, only in the states I guess?

I don't think the hole is any larger on the .22's. Mine .177 and .22 look like they have the exact same size port holes..

My .22 has been Turbo Tuned and it shoots in the low to mid 700's with RWS Superdomes.. Of course my CFX Royal .22 came from the UK and had to change springs because of they come underpowered from the UK. Of course I am useing a Macarri spring and custom spring guide by CDT.. The Royal of course is a bit heavier than my synthetic .177 and feels a bit different when fired. More of a solid thud.

I think the 1200 FPS with PBA means "Pure Bionic Air".
