Gene...I have a question!
« Reply #17 on: October 07, 2007, 04:11:12 PM »
Noticed the cocking lever is on the right side of the rifle.  Will there be any cheek/lever interference shooting from the lever side?

Thanks!

Let us know how you make out.  I have a couple of 57's, one in each caliber and I love em,,, real fun guns and they've both taken their fare share of backyard pests and game.....

Hey Jeff!

I have shot it quite a bit already but havent hunted or shot pests with it yet. It is  fun little gun, just want to get the power up though...
I now have it apart and em polishing everything up and making a tophat for it.
I dont have an upgraded spring yet but I would like to put one in.
Any suggestions other then the upgrade spring that comes with QF2 kit? I think i saw on this link that  a better spring(Gamo) was available....

I think you will be surprised how much more power that QF-2 spring will give you,, give it a try,, you can always swap it out if you want.  As far as other replacement springs,,, I'm really not sure as I always used the one in the QF-2 kit and got good results....

Ok Il try it when it comes in. In the mean time il just finish the lube tune and put a tophat in and a spacer or two for pre-load.
By the way what kind of fps and fpe did u get with the QF2 spring?

I'd have to check the "dope sheet" I keep for each of my guns, which I will do, but if memory serves me the lube, tune and new spring boosted each gun by around 100 FPS.
