Gene, I have a Titan. How did you get the stock muzzle brake off the barrel? I have not found a way to get it off.

Hey Dan

The site has one or two screws that hold it onto the muzzle brake. It looks like all one piece but the site will come off and under the site is more set screws..:) You may have to tap back of brake with piece of wood and hammer to get it off. I think mine was epoxied on but not sure..:)

Thanks. When I had the site off I did not notice the set screws underneath. I will try again.

Gene ,I have to disagree with you on this.I had a Norica Dream Hunter under-lever with a flip open breech{Hammeri Nova in the States, and also with a wooden stock marketed as the Hammerli Hunter Force 900/Norica Quick;see link to Umarex`s sight} ,When you opened the breech; the word Hammerli was tampo printed inside.also Umarex who bring Hammerli`s into the States, distribute Noricas AND Hammerlis within Europe, they are all the same guns     http://www.umarex.com/index.php?id=products&L=en&haupt_id=1&unter_id=2&cHash=24c3f17988

Actually Ken on the side of my Hammerli Titan breech block was "Assembled in Turkey". No matter who's name is on them I am pretty sure the parts are made in China and many models are actually made there as well. For instance, The Beeman line of RS-2's and 3's including the GH 950 series are made in China for Beeman. It seems that Umarex, Beeman and a few others are using this same power plant and trigger group. I do have to say that these Chinese air rifles are very nice as well. They have true two stage triggers and a very well put together power plant.

I have seen the Hammerli Nova and it is a beautiful looking gun but the buck stops there. They have the same trigger group as the Webley/Scott Turkish made Longbow and others. I do have to say that is the worst trigger I have ever seen. I will not even take them in for a tune. And Umarex asks over $300.00 for them...:) That is a laugh.

Apologies Gene,my Norica was definately marked up as a Hammerli, but it seems there`s a lot of "farming stuff out",have you seen the Kral Demon rifle,a dead-ringer for the CFX [nylon stocked version] but made in Turkey?.  http://gunmart.net/gun_review/kral_demon/  .Also I take it Umarex has got a bad name for over-pricing?,I`ve just bought a Ruger Black Hawk 0.177,based on your recommendation (great rifle!).Umarex took just £180 for the rifle + 4x32 scope,my Diana Panther for comparison listed at £280 for the rifle on it`s own.

Take care

No apologies needed. Even though I tune allot of these springers it is hard to keep up with them. My friend David Kirby is bringing me his Ruger Air Hawk tomorrow. It has the wooden stock and cost only $107.00 with the scope. The scope is trash and so are the rings. But they are excellent springers and tune out fantastic.

http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/zoomed_model.pl?model_id=1208 ,Gene if follow this link, you`ll see close up photos of the Nova ,in the one of the trigger safety, you can see the Norica company logo embossed into the wood just above the trigger, here`s a link to Norica`s on-line catalog  http://www.norica.es/index.php?opt=2&id=332&bs=&spos=-456px;-   ,you`ll see the same logo in the heading.

Take care

Yes I see that and I am surprised that Norica made the action for it. The trigger and trigger body are a joke. Let someone try and take one of these appart and you will understand what I am talking about. No dought that it is a beautiful air rifle but the buck stops there..

I know what you mean Gene ,the trigger is a disaster,it only has about half a dozen parts;the trigger on the more expensive Marvic Gold is a true adjustable 2 stage......but they put a plastic trigger blade on it!!!...................aaaarghhh! :emoticon:

Take care
