If there's a better deal on a CFX .22 out there...
« on: August 04, 2007, 01:36:14 PM »
Let me know...The only one I see is at Pyramid for 220 bucks with a 10% discount, bringing it to 200 bucks plus shipping, and that's a combo with a scope which I don't need. The finger(me) is ready to press the order button on this, but the brain(the wifey) says find a better deal. Find a .22 CFX without a scope and you can have it...maybe :0

The scope that comes with it is only a 4x32 non AO, but I like it and it came with a decent set of rings also.  I wound up putting a 3x9x32 golden Antler on my .22 CFX but I put the 4x32 scope on my .22 QB78-D and it works fantastic.  Anyway, just thought I'd mention it in case it "helps you out with the wife".  :)

When I called Pyramyd Air last week they kind of indicated that they may be the only ones carrying the CFX in .22????  But they did say it only comes as a combo in .22 I don't know just relaying what I was told or understood.

Pyramid is the only ones that I've seen that had the .22 in stock.

Temptation is leanin' on the bell....that bell is ringing...boy I'll tell ya!!!
But there's gotta be somethin' better than 200 bucks out there...surely.
Who's in the doghouse right now? Is it a dirt floor, flys buzzin' an stuff?  Extra bunks available? What about food/drink? I won't be comin' home for a LONG time from this one...I mean she's just gonna flip from the Xisico B3-1 that she'll see comin' next week, which I can weasle out of cause it was "only" sixty bucks.  And then "another one"?  Why do I need so many?

Yes, Pyramid is the only vendor offering the CFX in .22, and it only comes in the package. I wish they had offered it without the 4x scope also. Actually, the Gamo labled (BSA) 4x scope that came on mine isn't bad, better than the BSA ".22 Special" that came on my .177 CFX.  Oh well, had to have it anyway.   :)

That the B-26 is the next best thing and its "only" 140 bucks she'd go for it?

Get her a new pair of diamond ear rings, then get the one you want. :o  I bet she'll be more forgiving. 8)

exactly!!! I won't buy jewelry for her but I'll buy a "BB Gun" at any time or cost, regardless of if we have a job or not.  What a concept...so the cost of a B26 plus the cost of jewelry is much more than the CFX would have costed in the frst place, so why not just buy the CFX then and save money?  I can tell her that I was thinking of buying her jewelry, but then it just didn't make good financial sense.  Uh....I know....I'll tell her that I'll buy her all the jewelry she wants if I win at a FT meet, but I need the CFX in order to practice, and none of the other guns are good for practicing on a target.

You are digging a deep hole here. If I were her, I'd just go buy myself new diamond earrings, if I wanted them.  :p

Right on!!! see that's what I don't understand.  If she wants jewelry, why doesn't she just go buy it?  How does I get into trouble about it? Maybe she figures that I would be upset...heck no, I could get sumthin' for me then.

Is there a key to the doghouse, or is it one of them always open kinda things?

Oh yeah, and I forgot to say that the yard is pock marked with all the holes I've dug.  Heck, I should me a Miner or somethin' like that.

I'd bet you would rather have a gun though...

LOL, you have me there Randy. I generally would rather have a new rifle. I do have one nice pair of small diamond earrings that suit me just fine, but I'm not sure I could have enough rifles.......   :)
