I have a BSA Superstar with a Theoben ram installed.  Not real sure I'd want to part with it though unless there was a good trade or something involved.

The only con for me is the cocking effort. 60 lbs gets a bit tiring after a dozen shots. Not all guns are that heavy most are around 40 lbs +/-. Talk about getting quite. The report is actually louder than the action in gas rammed guns. They become very smooth with the recoil becoming more linear with no torque. Depending on how you hunt it can save wear and tear on your spring. My Webley I bought used and it was hunted a lot so it was left cocked while hunting and took less than three years to go from a 28 fpe gun to a 20 fpe gun. I wouldn't gas ram all my guns but happy I did my Webley.

Nope but it is more consistent. Your standard deviation is less and extreme spread is not so extreme. The patriot was about 58 lbs before the Ram.
