gamo cfx muzzle brake
« on: September 03, 2007, 12:07:09 AM »
Hi guys, several weeks ago I've started to tune my gamo cfx  but seems impossible to order a new alluminium muzzle brake because nobody can send it to me in Italy.
Does anyone knows how I can buy a new one?
I'm in the final part of the tune and it will be a mess if i cannot fin a new one ( the original one is very ugly in my opinion... )
By the way, theese are the mods.

GRT III trigger
Harris bipod
new camo painting ( made by myself)
ZOS 6-24 rifle scope
theoben gas ram
james maccari tesla piston seal
custom o-ring
desertwarrior cheek rest
wegu type adjustable pads

as soon as the final parts will arrive to me I will post some photo of my cfx, should it become a really nice airgun, what do you think?  :D

Ginacarlo, welcome! Your CFX sounds like it will be very impressive when you have finished it. I know we would all very much like to see photos of your rifle. I have two CFXs a .177 and a .22. I have GRT-III triggers in both of mine and a custom, aluminum brake from Gene @ Air Gun Toys on my .177. There is a link to the Air Gun Toys web site in the "Mall." I know that Gene is in the process of moving his home and shop right now, so he is a bit out of communication on the internet, but you might send him an E-mail via his site and inquire about a brake.

Here is a photo of my .177 CFX with the brake on it:

A BIG G.T.A. WELCOME!, Giancarlo,

Welcome to the GTA, A GREAT PLACE TO BE !

It sounds as if you will have a very beautiful CFX. I would be happy if you do a review on her when you have time !

As PeakChick, an owner of two very pretty CFX's, has told you, if you can wait a week or so, Gene may be your answer. He makes very fine muzzle breaks and shrouds for air guns, here is his website address: http://www.airguntoys.com/store/shop/index2.htm.

Now that your a member here, we hope you will stop by often. This is a great place to ask and answer questions, or just add your opinion ! :) I hope to see you here often !!!

thank you very much for your welcome guys!
also thank you for your help in suggesting me to contact Gene , honestly he was my first choice but looking at his site I've seen that he doesn't ship overseas, and I'm still looking for a solution...I really love his products!!!

this forum was my primary inspiration in customizing my CFX  ( ...I've discovered the GRT III here, and guys, never spent money better for my airgun! I've also learned how to do the "camo" painting just here in your forum  ) so I surely will post a couple of photo of my customization, and I wil be very pleased if you'll post your suggestions.
The rifle is now disassembled because I'm waiting for the tesla pistol seal to come, should it arrive in few days , and then I will post detailled photo for the entire project.
thanks again and excuse my poor english , i'm italian...
