And possibly nowhere else.

Don't believe the "830fps" garbage. They oughta get real...

Kyle, the CFX in .22 is only currently available from Pryamid. If you buy from Pyramid, use this discount code "NRA-PYRAMID" It will get you 10% off. You don't get free shipping if you use it, but the discount usually still save you a bit.

You can get the GRT-III trigger only one place, and it's a great one, from Charlie Da Tuna. His web site and Pyramid's have links in our "Mall" The GRT-III trigger will be the best $32.00 you have ever spent on an air rifle, guaranteed! It is very easy to install, I have them on both my CFXs. Charlie will E-mail you excellent instructions and it is a 15 minute job, at worst. You will need a Torx bit driver for the stock screws on any Gamo, including the CFX, but they are available anywhere tools are sold, if you don't already have them.

Ok here it is on pyramid http://www.pyramydair.com/p/gamo-cf-x-air-rifle.shtml but it doesnt have the .22 listed :\

you know i think i just might be a noob haha

Oh hey thanks!  i guess it's only on the combo page :)

So this would have abotu the same velocity as the 34 right?  if not the same?

perhaps more b/c of the longer barrel..

To be happy with a CFX i need to pay an extra 35 bucks for a trigger, makign it more expensive than the 34

is the cfx in .22 worth it?

Kyle, real world the .22 CFX will get mid 600fps to 700fps or just a bit more, depending on the pellet, the RWS 34 will do about the same.
Yes, the .22 CFX is only available as the combo. The 4x Gamo labled scope that comes on the .22 CFX isn't that bad a scope. I still have that scope on my .22, will eventually put a better scope on it.

Kyle, I think the CFX with a GRT-III trigger is a great value for the money. I think it shoots as well as some much more expensive rifles. The RWS comes with a better trigger stock, but will need a more expensive mount and a tough scope. I have both rifles, and like them both for what they are. If you want the easiest rifle to shoot well, right out of the box (with the good trigger installed) then the CFX would be the choice, in my opinion.

hm yeah i think you are right

what i am mainly concerned about is the cfx being weaker than the 34 by a large margin :\

Look here: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=3675&mid=24819#M24819

the website advertises 830 with crosman premiers, but as he said that's kinda fishy

I agree,,,, I love my .22 CFX, accurate as heck and gets the job done.  I also agree about the scope that comes with the combo,,,, I thought the scope was actually pretty good.  I wound up putting a Golden Antler 3x9x32 on the CFX, but I put the GAMO 4x scope on my .22 QB78-D and it's great.  Nice clear optics and performs well.

also, what pellets do you find to be the most accurate and best for hunting?

I think you made a good choice Kyle. Charlie will E-mail the instrcutions, both in word.doc and .pdf format, but they are available on his web site, on the GRT trigger page.

I use BSA Wolverines, 16gr as the pellet of choice in my CFX. The BSAs are JSB exacts, relabled. The CFX will shoot a lot of pellets well, mine also likes Gamo hunters. Lots of folks here like the JSB Predators for hunting, devastating stopping power, they are pricey so not a good choice for a plinking pellet. You might also try RWS Super Domes, Beeman FTS, Benajmin 14.3 gr, and a slew of others. Every rifle will have a favorite pellet or two that it shoots best, just have to run a selection through it and find out which.

Let us know when you get your rifle and we expect a review and pics......LOL   :)

(Oh, and if you don't love the GRT-III trigger you are welcome to let me know and call me names.............No worries here.)

Kyle, the Exact Jumbos, 15.8 gr are $9.99 for 250, The Exact Express, 14.3 gr are $12.35 for 500, the Predators (Ballistic tip) are $11.75 for 200 on Pyramid's site. By the way, Pyramid has a great deal on pellets, but 3 get the fourth tin free.

I do pest bird controll Kyle, and have dropped a bunch of pest birds with a number of my rifles at ranges from 10 - 40 yds. The JSB Exacts are excellent hunting pellets. The Preadators would be a good choice if you were after bigger, harder to bring down game such as squirrels, rabbits, ground hogs......Although the Exacts will do the job on them too. Something to remember, precise pellet placement is the name of the game in hunting with an air rifle. "A hit with a .22 rimfire does a heck of a lot more damage than a miss with a .300 Magnum."

Kyle,   Stephanie is correct,, accuracy is the key factor for sure.  My .22 CFX shoots a bunch of pellets extremely well but I wound up sighting it in for Beeman FTS pellets since they gave me the best accuracy/groups out of all the pellets I tried.  I've used them to take groundhogs and squirrels and they've performed well.

I also like the Predators pellets and use them a great deal in my other rifles.  They really do have amazing take down power.  All my rifles are used for hunting, both .177 and .22, and besides the predators and the FTS pellets I've also had good hunting success with CPL's, JSB EXACTS, Superdomes, RWS SHP (.22 only) and GAMO Tomahawks (.177) - wish they made them in .22

Best of luck with the new rig when you get it.
