Hunters group the best of any locally obtained pellet in almost any of my .177 guns.
I recently picked up a Crosman phase 1 1377 (old 150 style grip-steel breech) that has a magnetized bolt for shooting BB's. The bore isn't the greatest, but I can still get the Hunters to group about an inch to inch and quarter at 10 yards. CPHP's "pattern" about 4" at the same 10 yds. That's an extream example, but I have similar results in other guns. CPHP's are about the worst thing going in any of my .177's except my Chinese underlever. I don't understand it. I really want to use those Premier pellets. I buy a pack from time to time to try and always the same thing.

Locally available Crosman points work well in my .22 caliber guns except for my Baikal MP512. It thrives on cheap Daisy Wadcutters.
One of these days I'm going to break down and order some Gamo Hunters in .22 to see if they work as well as their.177 counterparts.

thats odd, the CPHP shoot the closest POI and groups as Gamo H for me.  Maybe it is the harder lead not enjoying your BBed up bore

Of the .177 Diablo pellets I have weighed for uniformity, Gamo Hunters edge out Beeman FTS pellets , and both are much better than BSA Wolverines aka JSB Exacts.  Not surprising that they turn out to be very accurate.  So if your air rifles shoot them well, then they turn out to be a real bargain.  They are, by the way, on average, exactly the labeled weight:  7.56 grains.

i started using the gamo hunter .22's.  my rws 54 loves them and i can hold better groups with the hunters than i can with jsb's or superdomes.  its all i will shoot in the 54.  now on the other side of the coin, my r-1 hates them.  i get 1-1/2" groupings on the r-1 and 1/4" groupings on the 54 at 30 yards.

Go figure.  But what ever it is that guns like or don't like, it would seem that variability in the weight of individual pellets isn't the issue with the Gamo Hunters.  It looks like the Gamos are swaged rathe than die cast.  Each has small, flat "nipple" on the dome that varies a bit from pellet to pellet if you look very closely.  And from what I read, the swage marks on the skirt are in an area where air flow over them is not apt to make any difference whatsoever.  I haven't really checked out the performance of the Gamo Hunters except in the CDT tuned Gamo Hunter Elite.  It is cranking out around 980 fps and doesn't care for the Gamo hunters at all -- likes the Beeman FTS best.

Every air rifle or air gun at different stages of wear and use will favor one style of pellet or another. I think along the lines of what CDT says. The Hunters are soft lead and when inserted into a barrel breech and you have to push it in to seat you will find that to be the most accurate and will also experience a tad higher FPS...:) Now hunters are no different than any other pellet made. They all are not the same as Tom has pointed out in his weight comparison charts. You also have to take into account the barrel lands and crown as far as accuracy goes.

I have had new air guns start off shooting RWS Superdomes and they gave me not the highest FPS but the most consistent groups. Now this can change over time. As lead builds up in the lands of the barrel. And also after a good tune with a new spring, seal, spring guide and proper lube. I have Gamo springers that loved RWS Superdomes and after I had tuned them they would change eating habits.

Oh well what a science..:)

I shoot the Daisy .22SG and have found the Gamo Match & Hunter pellets work very well for me.  I like the added weight of the Hunters for hunting beyond 20 yards and their accuracy.  The match work well for game to twenty yards but accuracy suffers for longer shoots.  I have purchased these online and shipping deforms them.  I now buy locally (120 miles away sometimes) and have found these pellets to be more uniform.  Also a pellet seater might work wonders for these deformed ones.  Pad your tin if you carry them quite a bit to reduce deformity.  I love .22 cal pellets easier to use and with gamo's -price is great.  Stock-up!!!

I'm 55 years old and an old powder gun shooter. I recently bought a new Crosman 1077 with 4x32 scope, and later, a Beeman 1024 takedown rifle. The Beeman comes with a horrible scope, so I have a new one coming. But I have  been shooting it through the junk scope it came with. My 1077 seems to like the Gamo Match and Gamo Masterpoints. Just today I tried some shooting with my Beeman. It seems to like Beeman Silver Bears,Gamo Match wadcutters, and the Gamo Hunters. But more serious testing will have to wait untill my new scope arrives.

In my steroid 392 the hunter does quite well...and is a pretty well made pellet, especially for the price...but for a little more  $$$ i get way better downrange knockdown power from the JSB 15.9...
