Multiple Rifle Testing Equals; UH-OH!
« on: September 22, 2007, 04:16:56 PM »
Ahhh...what a dunce? Chronied my .177 and .22 CFXs today.  Had tins everywhere.  Grabbed-up a .177 pellet and stuck it in the gun, thought it felt a "bit loose" but took the shot anyway.  DOH!

Loud report, and 273 fps on the chrony...yes, it was the .22 CFX.

If that isn't as close to a dry fire as it gets, I don't know what is!

Anbody want to fess-up to doin' the same, or worse?8)

Well, I did the same on a B4-2. Stupidly, it took me 2 or 3 shots before I realized what I was doing...

My wife once did her darndest trying to cram a .22 pellet into a 1377 because she saw a rat in the backyard.
