MiniSniping Postal Match
« on: November 18, 2007, 01:53:13 AM »
With gas prices so high, lots of folks are not driving too far. I have been messing around with the MiniSniping format and like the game. You shoot at five 9mm cases at a distance of 35 yards. any position is OK but the butt of the gun cannot be rested except on the shooter. Shots are taken at five banks of five shells for a total perfect score of 25. The web site minisniping.org has lots of good information on this airgun game. If you want to participate in a MiniSniping Postal Match, just email me at the address below and I will email you a match packet that includes instructions/rules, background information, practice targets/backers and if you need them, enough 9mm casings to shoot the match at your end. There is no cost but I would prefer to run the match over the net as well all have email/internet access. Be prepared to be humbled at first, it is not an easy thing to hit a 9mm case off a thin base of clay at 35 yards, especially if you have much wind to deal with. You can use any sight you like and so everyone will likely use a fair amount of scope magnification. Shooting iron sights?? No worry, just tell if you want to shoot in an Iron Sight Division and I will send you bigger cases to make the job a bit easier. me

Bob,
My name is Wayne Burns.  I have 12 ac. near I-5 at exit 11 just over the border into southern Oregon.. South Ashland.. We are building and setting up a field target course and sight-in range with covered shooting booths.. It's called the Ashland Air Rifle Range and Rentals..  We would like to set up and join in your contest as well.. and maybe people will want to come up for an informal field target contest once a month or so... We plan on opening around the first of the year, but people are invited to come a try it out for free, just by calling ahead of time.. Wayne 541-552-1441
