You don't have to tell USPS what's in the box.

All you have to do is let them know if whatever is in the box poses any danger to mail handlers. Which is an obvious "no"!

Shipped my TalonSS last week via FedEx.  Had to go insured so inevitably they asked,"What's in the box?", I said,"It's an airgun", they said,"OK"....and off it went.  I really think it depends on the clerk as much as anything.  I have shipped them before at other places and had them ask if there is a "firing mechanism"...."airgun", "air", "no fire", "no firing mechanism"...easy peasy!  Maybe it's just a matter of time before I get a clerk that wont ship for me, but anyone that knows me knows I have shipped A LOT of airguns and so far no problem.  Of course my Talon and any other PCP airgun should be emptied of air before shipment, pressurized gas is hazardous, I suspect even lower pressure CO2 cylinders should get special treatment, probably best to check with the shipping company on that.  I did get a little paranoid once and claim it was "air tools" and someone else once shipped me "wind chimes"...hehe!

Dano, "portable air compressor" usually fills-the-bill here.  Springers.  That's my story, and I'm stickin' with it!
