I joined the club today

Today I picked up my new .22 QB78 at the Mac1 shop.
It was tuned by their smith, who was part of the design team on the QB78, and
fitted with a baffled muzzle break and 3-9X32AO Beeman scope.

I was amazed at how quiet it is and I'm really glad I had it tuned there.
The smith showed me the main valve that was on the stock gun and its
threads were chewed up badly causing leakage.  He replaced it, of course.
It shoots like a dream and seems very accurate so far with casual plinking.

I'm very pleased!

Congrats Bob looks like you have a nice shooter there. I love the ones I have. Good luck with your new baby. Make sure to keep us posted on her performance.

A couple of Springers nothin to get excited about.

Thanks -- I just fired a few shots over my chrony.  On a fresh charge using .22 Crosman WCs (14.3gn) I got
a hair over 600 fps with temp in mid 70s. That's about 11.4 fpe.

Accuracy is something these guns are known for and Im sure you'll like it a lot because of it.
Very nice fps on it as well for a .22 and have to say you picked a nice scope for it as well. Mine has a 4x30, but with the usefull range the gun has a 3-9 is the better choice (and Ive ordered one as well).

Yes, it seems very accurate so far and I know I can increase the power via Mac1's power tune
but for now it packs plenty of punch for me and is quiet enough for my big-city back yard too.

I was originally thinking of getting a 2260 but when I saw the QB I knew it was a much better
gun and I'm glad I went that way.
