Shooting more often, Got tank 2 weeks ago...
« on: October 20, 2007, 04:29:57 PM »
Got my airtank and have shot a fair amount the last 3 weeks. This little BSA Ultra really amazes me with its' accuracy and ease of shooting. I'll try to get some target pics tomorrow. My springer is fun to shoot, but this PCP is just somuch fun!

It's a 66 cu ft tank rated to 4500#. The dive shop I got it filled at can only get 4350# ands so far I've gotten 15 fills and the guage reads 4000#. If you've noticed , the hose is very large and looses a lot of air on every fill when you bleed it. I will be getting a shorter microbore hose sometime in the future, to use at home where the setup is easier. I do think the long hose will be very convenient at matches. The gun only has a 60 cc pressure tube, so it doesn't take much to fill it. I have to refill the tank  when the guage hits 3300# for optimum shooting efficiency. Gun fills to 232 bar; most other PCP's only fill to 200 bar. Guy I bought the tank from says 60+ fills on an FX Cyclone. I've been refilling every 30 shots or so.
