Big Cat cured!!!

Received set of replacement seals from gamo 2 weeks (@$@#$%##!!!) after placing the order. Popped one in this morning. Works perfect! No more vertical strings. I took the long way to solve this easy problem, but at least I got a tune out of it...

Side note: I performed wax paper test NUMEROUS times and it always had a  nice round hole with no rips, I guess it's not always 100% accurate.

Thanks to everyone, who chimed in!

...but did you notice anything strange about the old seal? Anything obviously wrong?

vince, yes the receiver had some funky grooves around the transfer port, not sharp, just raised from the machining and it chewed up the seal after like 500 shots

See it here: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.com/airguns/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=3900&posts=6&highlight=big%20cat&highlightmode=1#M26741

Anyway, I polished the metal around the transfer port and it seems to be OK now
