A KL-3B was the very first airgun I ever took apart. Like others have mentioned the interior of the compression chamber was really gouged, but with a little honing I was able to get the leather seal to work pretty good. I never chronied her, but she was pretty smooth after a little work and accurate as heck at 20-30 yards. Mine was a .177, and I would suspect they are pretty anemic in .22, just not enough stroke to the air chamber. They are pretty small also, almost kid sized. The wood work looks like they finish sanded the stock with a rock then coated it with shelac using a mop, but I stripped and refinished mine and it didn't look half bad. I put a tiny little 4x20 scope on mine and gave it to a friend with a grackle problem and he couldn't be happier with it. I think I paid $23 for mine plus shipping from Sportsman Target.com. It came in a thin walled box, minimal packing, then in a plastic bag under that which I think they filled with used motor oil before packaging. What do you expect for $23? If I wanted another cheap plinker I would have no problem buying another one of these, I actually prefer them to the B3's I've handled.
