gta slow on aol

i dont know if this is the right gate for this but here goes -
gta is extremely slow when accessed while on aol.  changing between posts or gates usually takes over a minute, however, if i use internet explorer to access gta, then everything works fast.  i have checked all settings, etc. to no avail.  i only have this problem on gta forums.  all other web sites work fast.  hoping someone has had the same problem and has a solution to this problem.  thanks.

Thanks for the info. Bob and I have tried to set the GTA up so that the  pages would load up quickly. There could be several reasons why this is happening. I would need more feedback from other members on there experiences with loading pages on the GTA.

If anyone has a problem like Larry please give us some feedback. Maybe I can figuer out if it is on the GTA's end or some where else..

Also everyone remember to dump your PM's every so often and that in it self will help in loading pages quicker.

thanks for response Gene, i am feeling it is something between your end and the way aol caches according to something i read when i googled the problem.  something to do with the way you can set up caching?  i have never had this problem with any other site.  the good thing is the ability to work your site straight on IE.  i love this site.

Last night I flushed the data base of old pictures and files. Did a complete clean up. I was hoping that it might of helped some. I do not know why AOL pulls us up slower than a normal direct connection to the internet. I do know that AOL has many filters and maybe we do not have something in our backend that AOL is looking for. Keep me advised.

Gene, AOL is still very slow I'm sorry to report.Larry is right.Explorer is much faster.
