We've been told that we will have a hunter's class match each month, along with the regular match . A hunter's match allows you to use Cross sticks and to sit on a bucket or stool of less than 15" tall . The restrictions are a max of 12x power on your scope ,You can adjust the focus on the scope during a match , but not the elevation or windage, and less than 20 fpe . So, you can shoot off a bi-pod or a mono-pod and you cans shoot from sitting on a stool , just like you would hunting, and the targets have bigger kill zones and the distances will be less . How much easier would it be ? . kirby

Now that sounds good David..:) I would have a fighting chance then..:), but can I use my FX Cyclone on low setting? Other wise I would use a springer of lower power.

You can use any rifle as long as it produces less than 20 fpe. This is to keep from tearing up the targets . I shot my AA classic in .22 cal. turned down to around 750 fps with 14.3g pellets and it was under 18 fpe in a practice match and didn't feel handicapped at all, as a matter of fact I shot it pretty good that day. The biggest disadvantages of using a .22 cal is a little more arc to deal with and the larger diameter of the pellet . But those bigger pellets really smacked those targets. kirby
