11:30pm and the ShadowSport is loaded with a Predator and ready. I dress for the 14 degree evening and head out into the moonlite night and work my way across the snow covered field's. Ten yard's out from the grove I drop to a knee to double check my winter hunter, all is perfect as I scan the grove without the lamp on since the moonlight does the work for me. I check the time, 12:22am so I get myself up and enter the grove without a sound. 10yrd's in I spot movement about 30yrd's ahead of me so I pull up next to a tree and drop down. It's just a dark shadow against the snow but I know what it was by it's movement and he hadn't noticed me at all. Without a second thought I raised the ShadowSport, safety off and lamp on and placed the crosshair's on that shiny eye. Pressed the redDot laser to pinpoint the sweetspot and sent the Predator away. The stillness of the wee hour's of the morning was broken by the distinct sound of a solid hit followed by a moment of death dancing. With the lamp still lighting up the kill I stepped of the yard's, 26 to my harvest and with that I checked the shot placement, just a hair behind the eye, picked him up and moved to a stump to relax awhile. Sipped some java and waited for firstlight to get a pic for my fellew hunter's then cleaned and in the icebox. All this before work, now that's how we start the day hehe. Ed
