Just to bring you up to date on Riles condition. Riley has been allowed starting today to go back and forth from the hospital to the Ronald McDonald house once again.
They were hoping with his last bone marrow scan to find only Mina's bone marrow but unfortunately there was 75% hers and 25% his. Not good news but it could have been worse. The problem now is that there is a non-stop continuous battle going on inside his little body. They stopped one of his medicines in hopes that it will help hers become stronger and kill off his. Because he was taken off that medicine he also gets to stop taking the blood pressure medicines too.
If this does not work they will do a procedure on Mina (his sister and bone marrow transplant donor) to get some of her white blood cells and place them into him to see if that helps.
He is finally eating more and hopefully, if he keeps it up, they will be able to stop feeding him through a feeding tube soon. Can you imagine being fed through a feeding tube for months on end?? Here's hoping.
He's my 3 year old little gorilla.
Thanks all.
