I did that stain job and stippling.  Very easily done, I used "red walnut" minwax stain.

Very cool Barry. I know many of us will be excited to see a good review of the rifle and Ed's work on it when you get it and have a chance to wring it out.

Yeah, unfortunately here in the good ole midwest it`s about 5 degrees now at 2pm!I can`t hardly wait myself, but my mom`s in the hospital at this time, and maybe not coming out,so the gun might have to sit for a minute.Havn`t even took the time to order a scope or mount yet,but believe me when I get a few things taken care of,I`m hoping it causes me to keep my remaining brain cells!

Big Ed certainly knows his B50's.  I recently got a B51 from him and I'm very pleased with it.  So far I've only been able to shoot 2 groups with it. One at 25 and one at 55 yards. No pellet experimenting or anything...  BTW, this is a .22 Crosman pointed pellet next to the groups for comparison...

I'm quite the fan of the B50, since I bought mine.  Mine shoots CPHPs at 867 fps, average, and it's bone stock. I wonder what it would do tuned?

Jaymo, is your B50 a .22 or .177?  I had a B50 in .177 and it was a real hard hitter out of the box until it self destructed.  Before the meltdown it was shooting CPHP .177's at about 1060 fps on a fresh fill.  I've been toying with getting another one and having BigEd tune it to shoot much slower, but more consistantly...maybe 900fps?

Just received mine from Ed yesterday, haven`t had time to mount it up yet,but I can say 1 thing I think it`s one of the few rifles I haven`t had to start right in on fixing things that were an issue with me...none here,I`ll post more once I get it all mounted up...
