o.k ..im back and am asking again for some input on this remington summit ....i have red a ton of reviews online and i must say that i did not fair well.....i am a gamo guy but as i have said before i have a chance to pick this rifle up for a good price...if it shoots as well as it looks i will buy it ....alot of the reviews i have read are from people who have never owned a springer before or who have not taken the time to actually test this gun to its entirity.so if anyone out here has some true expirience with this gun good or bad i would love to hear back from you....do i buy it or do i buy another gamo. any feedback on how this rifle shoots from someone who actually spent some time with it would be great.thanks

I have one... Actually two. It's a Quest power plant in nicer stock. ALLOT nicer stock!!!
The checkering feels nice in the hands!

As far as firing characteristics, cocking effort etc... It seems easier to cock than my Quests. I believe it's the extra length from the muzzle brake. Firing also seems smoother. Verty linear recoil with a solid THUNK. Almost as if it had already been tuned. The trigger is the same as on the Quest though. Stiff, but crisp break at aroun 5.5 pounds or so. Accuracy is great. I can shoot a 1 inch group at 25-30 yards or so. Muzzle velocities  of both of mine are around 840-850 FPS with Crosman Premiers. One likes to digest CPL's and the other likes Beeman FTS better. Not sure why. The scope & mount are decent. Well I should say the scope is good and the mount is decent. They used REALLY soft steel for the screws, so the heads strip easily. I ended up drilling & retapping for standard 10/32 socket head cap screws.

I like both of mine. They make for great hunters or paper punchers. Paid about $169 each for mine at Big 5's sporting goods about 2 years ago I believe.

No problem! Post some pix when you get her!

OH, 2 things you may not like about the summit though.... The rear sight & trigger guard are plastic. Some folks don't like that, other's don't mind. I sorta don't mind. So it doesn't bother me much.

Another plus is that CDT's GRT-III trigger fits in the Summit!
