that says he killed Jon Boneoux Ramsey is getting. The guy is so full of it and it's so ridiculous and yet it's all that has been on the news on the cable channels. It's just beyond me how many times the same things can be re-hashed over and really nothing new coming out of it. All the news industry is doing is making this guys head get bigger and bigger. He is just one sicko that needs to be institutionalized with a bunch of other nut cases just like him. We should have just left him over there and let them people handle him. They have ways of handling people that sexually abuse kids over there, kinda like we should have over here. Real justice in many cases.

24 hour news channels have to fill 24 hours with whatever news they can find, even if it means endlessly repeating themselves.

An example? Imagine if advertisers paid to put up commercials on your website based on the number of viewers. Now imagine you had to fill 24 hours of every day of the year with content to make the advertisers happy enough to keep sending you checks.

You might (well ok you probably wouldn't but work with me here) want to constantly rehash things that you know will interest people even if it's not really news. Maybe you'd get different people to talk about it even if they have nothing new to say, it's different people saying it.

Etc etc

There's only so much "news" to go around and often it takes minutes not 24 hours to cover. The rest of the day is just recapitulation.

Well, when I was in Thailand in the 60's, their laws were very sticked. A thief would lose a finger, fingers or hand depending how many times that person stole or how serious it was. If they killed someone in the process of stealing then it would be automatic death. In the case of adult rape or child rape or anything that they commited sexually against a child or another adult would mean they would be sterlized. And even death depending on how serious it was.

It was the same way in China and most other Asian countries I was in back in the 60's..

I have to agree with Youklis, the news organizations are now  in the business of selling soap.  They are falling all over each other to get the "scoop".  Obviously the advertisers are selling lots of soap since these circus acts seem to get all the attention.
