Another snow hunt
« on: February 19, 2008, 12:21:30 PM »
Knowing that I will soon be moving from my beloved hunting ground's I headed out once again into the greatwhite tundra. Snowcamo on and snowcamo ShadowSport in hand I made my way to my grove knowing that it will soon be just a memory and some hunt pic's.:(  I put that thought to rest for now and once again found my hunt Zen as I entered the grove. I decided to do a stalk through to absorb my surrounding's and breath in this personal heaven which almost distracted me from the rabbit that had just shot through the grove like he was on fire hehe. I dropped down and slid over to some downed limb's and scanned for movement from his last location. Barely visible, a set of ear's twitched from behind a low stump at about 30yrds to my right. The waiting game begin's as I slide myself down into the snow sniperstyle and setup the ShadowSport with a Predator already loaded. Crosshair's on the ear's, c'mon peek out fella and he did just that with a short hop. Drop the crosshair's down from the ear's to the bulls "eye" and sent the Predator away. Again I'm rewarded with the sound of a solid impact followed by a few death quiver's and he was finished. I will not miss getting up out of the snow and brushing it off of me as I count off some yard's which came to about 26 with the Predator hitting him just back of the eye. I didn't rush for a pic but just satdown for a moment and took in everything around me, this is what it's all about I thought.:) I thanked MaNature for blessing me with this fine harvest, took a pic for my GTA family and with my Airgun and harvest I silently made my way back home knowing that I will return in time to leave my track's here once again.
