I can only say that the 94 was made in Spain and the 34 in Germany or this is what I have been told . Marvin

The RWS 94 is Spanish manufacture, made by Cometa. Cometa rifles are decent guns for the money, hammer forged barrels, a tad nicer over all than Gamos. The 94 has a reputation as a very decent shooter, from what I have seen the 94 seems to have a touch more velocity than a 34. The 34 is, of course a DianaWerk rifle, good TO5 trigger on the currnet guns, very good materials, fit and finish for the money.
The current stable, (arsenal, quiver?): BSA Lightning XL .177, BSA Sportsman HV .22, BSA Ultra .177, CZ634 .177, Daystate Harrier X .177, TAU 200 Senior .177, HW 97 .177, HW 50s .177, HW 30 .177, RWS 92 .177, Gamo 126 MC Super, Gamo Big Cat .177, AR2078A, QB78 .177, Quest 1000 .177, Beeman SS650 .177., Beeman P17 .177.

I've had exprience with some older Cometa products and they were good guns as  was mentioned ,but in my opinion the 34 is the better gun for the money now. I also believe the 34 has a better barrel, and the new 34 .22 I have is very accurate and smooth. It also seems to have a choked barrel, even though it is not advertised as such. I also shot another brand new 34 last weekend  that belonged to a friend, and it was also very nice. The Diana's have really been getting nicer as of late.

I had a wood-stocked '34 a little over a year ago, a refurbished 94 that I got late last summer, and a refurbished '34 Panther that I got recently.

The first '34 was hard to shoot well, had low velocity for the cocking effort, was large and heavy with a mediocre trigger and a buzzy firing cycle.

The '94 was a little easier to shoot well, had significantly more power, and was easier to handle with a nicer trigger. Firing cycle was smoother.

The '34 Panther also has same low velocity as the first one, but it is VERY easy to shoot well and is nicer to handle than the wood-stock version. Shoots smoother, too - and the trigger on this one is very nice.

I like virtually everything better about the '94 except its hold sensitivity, and certainly prefer it over my older '34. Do I like it better than the Panther? In most respects yes, but the Panther is so easy to be accurate with that I cannot pick a favorite, at least at the moment.

BTW - my '94 is a refurb from Umarex ($120 shipped), as was my Panther ($117 shipped).

I can confirm that my .177 34 barrel is definately choked.  The last inch is very tight on a patch that is a snug fit for the rest of the barrel.

My 34 shoots hard (a bit over 900 with CP HPs), doesn't buzz and has a nice trigger.  Recommend it highly!
