I take the riser off, use a two hole two piece mount from B-Square, use equal torque on the screws, add a B-Square scope stop (with Leapers Bug scopes you need to put the stop behind the front ring), check all screws every time I shoot for a bit and I have had nothing move on any of my new guns with the aluminum riser. If I had a problem , I would go to one piece mounts like the BKL. I also suggest a CDT tune as that really smoothes things out in the firing cycle and I never but never shoot anything but regular weight pellets, nothing heavy nor light not even once "just to see what she'll do"! Also, do not use a mount that is any taller than needed, this gives the scope more lever moment. I shoot two Gamo 440's and a CFX is .177 and two CFX's in .22. If you decide to buy a "darkside" gun, call and talk me into one also!!!
