As many of you know, my great grandson Riley who is three and a half years old has beaten the odds and death many times over the last couple of years. They gave up on him several times but he has always proved them wrong. Several times they gave him just days to live and a couple of times just hours. But Riley was a fighter and never gave up. He has been fighting this since he was 6 months old.

When the doctors would say that there was no more hope and just nothing more could be done, Riley would rebound. Then in Jan, they said that the end was close and nothing more could be done and stated that the best thing to do was to take him home and let him be with the family until the end so the family decided to just bring him home.

Riley spent over ¾ of his life in a hospital. As many of you know, that on Jan. 31st. they gave him less than thirty days to live. Well once again, Riley fooled them. Here it is two months and a week later and he was still with us. But today, the end finally came.

He was having his picture taken and he just stopped breathing,,, and that was the end. He ran out of strength and just couldn’t fight death on any longer. The end came about an hour and a half ago. Like I said, Riley was a fighter and never gave up but the little guy just didn’t have anything left.

Now Riley is in Gods hand with no more suffering and pain. I and our family would like to thank you for all of the prayers and concern. We are grateful to all of you.

I am very sorry to hear that bob. I too have lost some very close family members lately, but I have found that I can be happy that I had the time with them that I did, and can keep the memories alive.

I wish you and your family all the best.

Bob the fight that this young child had in him was a inspiration to all but the Lord had a purpose for him and he was called to heaven. It show's us just how fleeting life can be and more importantly that we must take the time to imbrace and let the one's around you know just how much thier loved. My deepest sympathy go's out to you and his family and I know he's truly happy now, God has blessed him. Ed
