BSA 3-12X44AO OK for my CFX?
« on: April 11, 2008, 01:27:29 AM »
I have been looking for a better scope thant the 4X combo scope that came with my CFX.  Does anyone have any experience with the 3-12X44 AO from BSA?  It is in my price range and I think it is short enough to fit on my CFX without obstructing the loading port.  Any other similar suggestions?

Yep excellent scope for the money. You will need a high mount. The scope has very clear optics and pretty accurate A/O. The scope will handle the recoil with ease. Natchez had them on sale in the airgun scope section for 55.00 plus shipping mine came to 63 and change. Your making a good choice.

I have that scope on my Hunter 440 and I have been very pleased with it. Good choice.

I have the 40mm version on an S1k, works great!  I would stick with that scope, I tried others and ended up going back to the BSA, I know they're not the best, but the only thing comparable in that price range is center point 3-9x40, I have the 4-16x40 and it would probably be too long for your loading port.  If its shootin' straight stick with it!

I had that BSA 3-12X44AO scope mounted on my CFX .22 and it is an excellent choice. No problems with it obstructing the loading port at all. The bell is well behind the loader port.

Mount that puppy up man!!!

Another good choice is the is the CenterPoint 4-16X40AO from WallyWorld if you can find one. Thats what I've got on my CFX now. It is a little close to the loader port, but I can still load her up.
