Well after shooting my AA S410 carbine with cocking lever and the new AA S410 classic with a side lever I thought something has got to change here..:) The side lever is made so it pulls the bolt back straight. So it is very easy to cock. The bolt lever you have to pull it from one side back to cock the rifle. It seems to me that puts allot of pressure on the shaft and at the same time makes it harder to cock because of the cross resistance. And I am sure after a period of time the shaft will wear the bushing out inside causing it to become loose. So I thought I should make a new cocking lever that would be simple and at the same time relieve all the resistance that the original design. I removed the cocking lever and took some measurements and threw a chunk of brass in the lathe and this is what I come up with.. As you can see now I can take my index and fore finger and pull back on the lever without any resistance. This mod made it a whole lot easier to cock the AA S410 carbine...:) I might ad that the wind was blowing all kinds of dust and particles around outside today and when I took these pictures you can see all kinds of debris on everything..:)
