ANOTHER GTA MOMENT!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting our very own MR. CHRIS PREEZ.........Chris drove about 41/2 hrs round trip to visit Myself & Dave,at COBRAS,Chris is a terrific person & I can say that he is a definite asset to our awesome forum,Chris it was trully a pleasure.......
  I became part of this wacky airgun family on 2/12/08,never did I imagine,I would have as many people in my life, that share the same interest,I have had many phone conversations with a number of members that help me to see that I am not the only big kid around,it is a beautifull thing when you get to put the posts with the voice with the face & finally meet in person,we spend many days/nights with each other writing back & forth joking,laughing,praying with each other,aside from the basic airgun chats,I have not come across anyone from this family that couldn't sit & break bread with me......I AM HONORED TO BE PART OF THIS AWESOME GTA FAMILY.......

Your story about the GTA moment doesn't surprise me at all, now.  In the admittedly short time I have been a GTA member, I have not once encountered anyone on this forum that was rude, inappropriate, or unwilling to help with a problem or question if they could.  In my experience, that is a RARE thing in an on line forum.   It is almost certainly because there are just some genuinely nice folks hanging out here.  So, I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed the GTA site and pass on a big thank you to all of you that have made the experience of getting into air gunning such an absolute pleasure!  I suspect I am not alone in that category. Thanks also to the moderators and mentors on the forums that help keep it that way.

No Doubt, GREAT Folks here at GTA!!Im pretty shure Joe will take you up on your kind offer of transport from the Airport if he desides not to drive! We will shurly have a blast at the get together! Ok Joe,15 hr drive is just too much, you should fly in, Tom or I can "ferry" you the rest of the way to Genes. You should ship all your guns to me now,, I promise to show up!!LOL!  Tim. You know, it just occurred to me that Sen. Obama would likely think all of us on the GTA are the archetypical "unhappy, disenfranchised voters" he was referring to, who "cling to religion and guns" . . .  Yes sir, Senator.  Mostly right, except for that part about being unhappy.  What was that classic line? -- Praise the Lord and pass the ammo --  LOL.  Again, I sure am happy to be here with all of you other outcasts.

TOMMY & TIMMY,You guys are a few of the very many terrific  people that I'm PROUD TO HAVE IN MY airgun/friendship circle....you gotta be amazed at how things just happen to work out,my girlfriend buys me an airgun for CHRISTMAS,5 mos. later,I'm involved with other individuals from everywhere in the country & world when you look at it.....where else do you get this.........

Joe, you ,Tim and Tommy along with all the Great members here surely make the GTA a Great Place to Be! I believe  the courteous, helpful attitudes  that everyone here has makes the GTA a  true fraternity not unlike my old college fraternity.We certainly all owe a debt of gratitude to our founders.Now let's go shoot something!

My visit to Cobra's was great. Meeting Joe and Dave was a real pleasure and well worth the 4-1/2 hour trip. Those two are great asset to this forum and the airgun family! I had a really hard time leaving Cobra's - too many toys there. Did I mention that I took a .22 Discovery home with me?

Thanks Jason,,being fairly new to this wild & wacky addiction,I learned a great deal from members within this forum as well as picking brains from the regulars at COBRAS,I try hard to give back,the best way for me was to offer assistance to those who wanted to deal with COBRA,there are many times where it is almost impossible to contact Dave,this is where I can offer my hand,I will go to bat to help a member get a good deal,I myself am a customer & luv buying airguns,so I know how I look for good deals..If I can make it happen I will...once again thank you for the acknowledgement.........it is a nice feeling.....
