Thanks Jeff

I am proud of my Gamo collection..:) as you can tell. They all shoot well and I have not one complaint about any of them, except the Hunter 1250 Roya .22.. It is a bit heavy for me..

Hey, Gene,  if the 1250 Royal is too heavy for you, I'm sure you could find someone to take it off your hands for you :-).  Nice collection, it's pictures like this that really make my wife nervous.  Especially when I tell her that my CFX is just the begining...  At least she won't be able to say I didn't warn her!

Usually when I go out to shoot, it is hard to pick which one I want to shoot first...:) Yesterday I was shooting my QB .22 bulk. Then put some more pellets through the S1K .20. It is a really great mod. I also packed the butt with pillow stuffing and like Rich said. It made a big difference in recoil and sound. Today I will work on the stock hanging in the background of the picture. It is a Hunter 440 stock that had three cracks. I have glued and doweled the stock and sanded it smooth. I am using a cherry wood stain. Thinking of putting that stock on the S1K .20.. but could put on the .177 S1K.

When my grandson comes over. I have him cock the 1250 for me, so I can shoot it...:)

Let your wife know that we enjoy our toys. It keeps us out of the bars and off the streets..:)  She may understand... lol

Very nice, very nice.....and I thought I was Gamo "crazy"...LOL....I still have a ways to go to catch you Gene.

BTW, what did you use to remove the threaded rear sight adjustment post?  ( Sorry, I don't know the exact name for it....it's the threaded rod that remains sticking up after removing the rear sight from the S1k)
Thanks

Used an allen wrench. Look close and you will see a hole for allen wrench. I had a short allen screw and replaced the long one with it..

Thanks for the help, Gene.  Unfortunately my rifle has a solid stud.  I have seen them with the allen pattern though, but alas, mine has none.

Wow, I never heard of it being a stud. But I do not know allot. The two S1K's that I own are threaded and can be removed. You may want to ask in the other Gamo forum.

Good Luck Mark

I called it a stud for the lack of a better term.  Kind of reminded me of the cylinder studs in my MX motorcycles, except a lot smaller.  Then I got to thinking....maybe I could use the double nut method to remove it?  Problem is, I don't have a thread gauge to measure the threads or diameter of it and I didn't think home depot would appreciate it if I brought the rifle into their store to try out different nut, to see which would fit! :D  :D
