Three-eighths to a rail???
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:25:15 PM »
To the GTA forum, I was wondering if any one out there knows of a conversion mount that will accept a 3/8" dovetail, to a Weaver/Picatinny rail system. I installed one on my 392 Benji, and liked the results ( high profile scope ). Only fault is you can't go to the irons for close up shots. But still un-able to find one for the factory 3/8"/ 11mm scope grooves over the action on other rifles. Not sure how it would work on a Tuned springer, but haven't found alot on the subject. Or I'm looking in the wrong Gate!?!?! Maybe I should look for an adjustable one piece scope. Any ideas/advice?? Thanks, Thomas

Go to ebay and do a search on "airgun"  I have seen an adapter that will allow you to use weaver/picatanny  accessories on and airgun

Thanks guys! Found a few different models, but the best one was on e-bay from a tactical accesories company. Only .5 centimeter (5mm's ?!?!) heighth over the dovetailled clamps. Each is about 2" long, so two might work with individual high mount rings. Iron sites may be usable with these!!! tjk
