Accu Air Force 1100, Anyone got one?
« on: June 22, 2008, 08:30:06 AM »
I bought one at Academy for $69 about 3 weeks ago. It is just a Turkish
copy of a Gamo Shadow 1000, without the nice finish. I bought it because the price was good and I like the original Shadow 1000 with the iron sights but could only find the new "Big Cat" style without the built in sights.
It seems very accurate with the open sights and it has a better firing
cycle than the Big Cat I used to have. It does not have the extreme twang of the Gamo and the trigger is better(it is non adjustable, unlike the Gamo's
trigger). The power seems equal to the Gamo also. The only problem I can
see is maybe parts availability, but I believe any Shadow part would work.
Does anyone know more about this? I know this is a Gamo forum but I think
it is almost a direct copy.

Thanks

Just ordered one!

Sierra Trading Post had the walnut-stocked version for $95, and there's a 10% coupon floating around that you can use if the order is jacked up to $100 minimum.

I'll post about it when I give it a thorough going-over.

Mine seems to shoot pretty good with iron sights. However, comparing my new S1K to it side by side I
can see where the finish is "cheaper" and the stock is not as nice. It seems to shoot very slow also,
my Powerline 1000 will blast through 600 pages of phone book but the Accu will barely penetrate
400. My Quest will also blast through about 600 also. I might have to tear it apart....

The price went down within a few hours of my order...

It dropped to $75. I called this morning and was able to get the cheaper price.

I'll be very curious to see what this one is like. The only Turkish model I've tried is the Powerline 1000 made by Hatsan... a crude, powerful gun that is very accurate. Hopefully Gamo or Quest springs and seals will fit it for future serviceability.
