Hi,
I havent done all this as I have no requirement but in my opinion the easiest way would be as follows:-
Convert to reverse cocking
Tap the rear end plug (or helicoil) and drill it through longways on a lathe and thread
Drill the rear of the reciever through and countersink the top hole

Using new bolts the end plug can be secured from top and bottom
The adjuster can be screwed through the modified rear plug, it will provide a load against the cocking block and adjust the power by pre loading the hammer spring.
