THAT has got to be one of the most beautiful backyards I've ever seen!  It must be a MECCA for critters!  Hell, THIS critter wants to hang-out in those surroundings!

Beautiful, beautiful work, my friend!

Would you come over and do my yard????   That is beautiful, you certainly have a gift for your trade....   If my wife saw that pic and then looked at my backyard she'd slap me silly   :emoticon:

slap you silly?...ha!...that's funny!.....the funny thing about it is all the vermin in the woods love to come over at night.  coons, possums, and even had deer in the backyard. they try to eat and tear up everything so have to go outside with one of my airguns and eliminate the problem.

You must really enjoy landscaping....beautiful lawn. What is that growing around/over your swing grotto?

Are those  Hostas growing along the path?

My St. Augustine has TARR (take all root rot) which I have been fighting since April.   :emoticon:

what are you doing to fight it?  The disease is also stress related so cutting too low, over watering, too much shade, and too much Nitrogen.  the area you live in is sandy soil and should drain well, st. augustine should not be cut lower than 2.00".    do you have a shady yard?...if so, perhaps you could do some "selective" pruning to allow more sun.....shoot me some details and let's see if i can help....

that is confederate jasmine growing on the swing and yes....that is my hosta garden.

Beautiful! It’s so relaxing. Couple of books, pack of smoke and no calls from inside, nothing else needed. No guns either, hehehe

lol...I cannot grow or spell hostas

I'm using a one time peat moss topdresing and two applications of Banner Max 400 / propaconazole for the TARR.  The diesease has not gotten any worse...but it's still there in patches.

Definatley not cutting too low or over watering.  I live in a flood plain with a gumbo clay base and very rich topsoil for the most part.  I did add some top soil this year.  The yard is shaded from direct sun for much of the day.  Soil analysis is performed each year....No additional nitrogen was applied this year.  One application of 0-0-60 in April and Lesco Pre-M in February, another Pre-M due in early Novenber or late October.  One application of premetherine....no additional insecticides or herbicides.  I did spray Daconil 'weatherstik' fungicide in June for dollar spot/brown patch control.

Wow. No wonder the critters can't stay away... there's no need for baiting with food with that kinda yard. It's like death paradise. Guess all is okay if a critter dies in there, they probably couldn't tell the difference between heaven and your yard. Very nice... good job.
