*SOLD* Sheridan Blue Streak CB9 (.20 cal.) For Sale *SOLD*
« on: July 24, 2008, 01:52:40 PM »
I purchased this gun 2 years ago and have fed about 100 pellets through it.  I'm selling everything you see except the scope (goes back on my Ruger 10/22).  That would include the rifle, case, B-Square scope mount and nearly full tin of Benjamin cylindrical pellets.  You can see from the pictures that I modded the scope mount a bit by adding 2 set screws that make it more stable.  The gun is in like new condition.  It is accurate and I would keep it, but I'm sick and tired of pumping it.  My shooting buddy just got a QB-79 and I'm jealous of his ability to shoot without pumping!  The gun lists on Pyramid Air at $149.95 and I paid about $50 for the B-square mount.  I want this thing to move quick, so I'm selling the whole set-up for $120.00 plus whatever the real shipping ends up being.

Sincerely,
Adam Helwich

Hey Adam, I'm interested, but can't see the pix?!?!?!? Got a Gamo BC untuned,..but a GRT-III trigger I'll trade you with. Bob installed it for me in person. Super nice guy!!!  Hit me back via EM if interested. My BC was $129 plus (academy Sports) the $30 gold trigger. tjk
PS. Bob's (CDT) fixin' to retire soon, and I'd strongly  recommend a tune by him before it's too late.

Sorry, tjk, but I'd rather sell it for cash.  I want to buy a QB-79 with the proceeds from this sale.  If you are still interested in buying it, let me know.

That's fine Adam, I understand. It is a nice looking gun, and I'd like to see some close-up pix of its mount system! I'd like to finish my Benji collection with a CB9, but like everyone else, money's the one thing holding us back!!!! The QB-79, that's a co2 gun isn't it? tjk

Here's a close-up of the mount.  Yes, the QB-79 is a co2 gun.  I'm sure this would make a nice addition to someone's collection.  As it's set up right now, I can put 3 shots inside the diameter of a dime at about 60 feet (from the patio to the fence).

Nice work Adam. Let me ask a stupid question. Did you drill and tap the set screws into the bolt assembly, or simply indent the assembly (build a seat for the bolts) and rely on the upward pressure of the nuts to stabilize the mounting rail and keep the bolts from sliding simultaniously (going on the tenstion idea)? Kinda like jack bolts/jack nuts are used when setting equiptment if you know what I mean. Can't tell if the bolt heads are sloted, that's why I asked. Really looks neat how you did that. Super Job!!! Actually, I didn't want to permanently modify the gun, so I didn't tap or indent the bolt assembly.  I just tightened the set screws so that they would put pressure on the top of the bolt assembly.  It has probably scratched the powder coat a little bit, but it has kept the mount rock solid.

Adam, I kinda thought so. Even a 4 mil bolt 'buttom' tapped out would have a shallow seat for screwing not to mention it could put unwanted pressure over the bolt and breech. Still a super nice job though!!!  Is that QB your looking at a repeater?!? I've heard co2's can freeze up if shot consecutivly at a frequent rate. Big Cats never freeze up!!!! LOL's I'll admit, I've been looking at the crossman .22 co2's for my short-range 'urban' rifle. Two .17 cal springers are enough for me, (got three and the BC's on the for sale list)  and I'm like you,...rather spend the money on a different gun. But a nice CB9 would complete my pumper collection!!!! Good Luck, your pal, Thomas

Still available!  Not really interested in a trade, but for the price I have listed, it would be hard to beat if you're looking for a nice pumper!

George, you have a PM.  I'm sure a lot of you guys have already figured this out, but there is a huge supply of perfect sized air gun shipping boxes at your local golf store.  A Blue Streak fits perfectly inside a sand wedge box!
