New to Forum! Pics of my CFX
« on: July 26, 2008, 08:36:17 AM »
Hi all,

I am new to the forum and wanted to share some pics of my CFX. Spent some time the other day working on it. I began by removing the iron sights for a cleaner look. I replaced the crappy trigger with a GTR-III trigger from CharlieDaTuna. Installed a Centerpoint 3-9x50 scope and also foamed the hollow stock. Also added a tactical ACU cheek pad. Comments appreciated. Thanks!!

Thanks! My CFX is a .177 which is just fine for me right now. I dont really hunt though. There is no game here in the U.S. Virgin Islands. So I mainly target shoot with it. I have to shoot it at a local shooting range since my damn nosy neighbor called the cops the last time I walked the backyard with it. It was so funny, when they came, they loved the rifle and wanted to shoot it (to my neighbors dismay, she was still watching LOL!!!!!). BTW, I work in emergency services so most of the cops on island know me.

Welcome! I'm a relative newcomer myself, and I've found the folks here to be generous with their airgun knowledge, which they possess in grand amount.

Judging by your handle, you do some diving in Texas. I was a commercial diver in the gulf offshore oil business for years with Global Divers, then moved to inland work diving for marinas at Lake Travis in Austin. Small world!

 Lookin' forward to your posts.

 Have a great day,

Hi, Nice to meet a fellow dive on the forum!
I do dive but I am actually reside in the  US Virgin Islands, specifically the islands of St. Croix which we abbreviate STX, I would love to dive in the gulf, but I guess the carribean will do. LOL. I hold PADI Master Diver rating and a PADI Pro rating as a Divemaster (not including the slew of specialty certifications). It is nice to see others who share similar interests such as diving and airgunning. I am really enjoying this forum!

St. Croix? Oooh, that's just so UNFAIR! haha

Guess I don't need to be tellin' you to have a good time, then. I'd imagine it's automatic there.

Done some Carribean diving at the usual places in Mexico. Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Cozumel... I'm so jealous!

 Enjoy the forum!
