Gamo Shadow

I just picked up a Gamo Shadow Sport with 3x9x40 BSA Scope on it from a local pawn shop for $100.00.  I haven't shot it yet but hoping that it will be ok.  Heard that there were some
problems with earlier guns in 06 year this one had a serial # 04-1C-496365-07 in .177 caliber.  I saw a post somewhere about the recall of some earlier guns .  Need Help.
