my hone and my compression chamber

I got both,plus I have a seal on the way from JM
the compression chamber is very smooth/shinny looking, am I just looking to impart a crosshatch w/ 400 grit?

theres an article in the Library about this I believe...IIRC CDT says 400 grit is too fine, 220 is preferable.
