First, most tips on tunning out there are from CTD, do some research. Maybe you'all gotta realize, should Charlie recommend a Tuner, he then becomes responsible for that Tuners work. Maybe you aughta ask Jim Macarri what Tuner he recommends. Now I am ROTFLMAO. Jeep 98

crap!!!! its like a bunch of old bittys squarking. whah...whah...whah!!!!  everyone has to put their $.002 in.   mr. bob said his piece....NOW LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!  the man wants to retire so let him do it in PEACE!  if he chooses not "endorse" or "recommend" someone to send his customers to, that is HIS RIGHT!!!!..HE DOESN'T OWE ANY OF US ANYTHING...we owe him for what he has done!!!....he could have just shut down and not said anything about it and taken all of his info and post off of this forum.....then where would we be?   we should be thankful we still have him as a resource to get info from!!!  we all agree no one will fill his shoes so let's move on and let the man have some quiet time!!!
if you want a tuner go to this site and find one!!!  http://www.airgunartisans.com/AARepair.htm

AND THIS IS MY $.002 WORTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hardest part of getting old is trying to look good naked!

well, it seems like this whole thing is snow balling...bob posted everything involved in one of his tunes, so now, as long as ppl understand the terminology, everyone here knows what is needed to be done on a proper tune...thanks bob...now, we can all try to learn to do what you did...bob, you'll have to let us know when you are finally relaxing from all of this tuning stuff, what you're doin!  if i were you, i would probably want to go somewhere for a weekend with the misses...just take some time off from everything...
(tim, my gun from bob is better than yours!;-P..)

I offered this bit of advice a while back over on the DianaWerke.  Thought it might help those seeking that "special" person:

I know this is late coming, but I don't read this blog much. Ya know man some people just don't have a great deal of understanding for anything and will missinterpret damned near any written or spoken word for whatever reason. My view of ya is we'uns is older dudes with some knowledge of a lot of mechanical stuff , and course we ain't too money hungry( just tryin to help our fellow humans) in whatever way we can and still pay the bills. Personally I would not be offended by anything you would do and love ya as a brother. If the others don't comprehend screw um.

idk if this kind of stuff is at me or what, but i meant only to try to help get ppl to stop bothering bob about tune help....he posted what he does, and now i see no reason for anyone to need to ask him for help on what to do...i'm not being mean towards anyone, and i thought this is supposed to be a friendly environment to be in...i merely gave him a suggestion, and he chose to go along with it...we all know bob needs to relax...i was just trying to figure out a way to get his inbox less full all of the time...i send him messages from time to time, but i've sent him asking him how he's been doing since august 8th, and similar ?'s...we aren't supposed to be here to shoot anyone down, or to be mean towards anyone...we're supposed to be a group of ppl that all like airguns...lets just stick to that.

I just read your post from June in 2006...about the whole yellow thing. Seems you were thinking of retiring back then! Lucky for a lot of your customers you didn't. Never did any business with you , but from the following you have here it is obvious you will be sorely missed! I myself am an apprentice tuner....still got tons to learn and machines to buy! But my days building cars has paid off in hand skill and mech knowledge. Good luck in your retirement brah!
Research, use the right tools, take your time, and do it right the first time!
