BLACK CAT gets a RAT !!

My alarm woke me at 5 am for work as usual. For some reason I had a good feeling there would be activity at the feeder so I used the bathroom and went and sat on the barstool in front of the window .when I got to the window  I quietly opened the screen I then put my sand bag rest on the window sill, cocked and loaded my RWS 34 Panther Pro compact with a .177 CPHP.  Within miuites a small shadow appeared out of the darkness, unfortunately he was gone as fast as he appeared and I couldn't manage a shot. I knew he would be back, so I scanned the area with the scope.  Within a couple minutes He came back and walked right into the crosshairs.  I squeezed the shot off and heard the POP!! he barely moved just rolled over and put his feet towards the sky. I have been honing my skills with the panther and she is a very accurate shooter. She is definitely my go to RAT CAT...He he he

I'm hearing very good things about that Panther.  I think I'd heard Timmy say that the synthetic stock works quite harmoniously with it's powerplant.  Almost as if to say " harmonics" between the two.  Nice shot!  Keep it up!

If you saw this guy while the sun was up, there's a major rat problem in your area!  Subdominant rats and young rats are expelled from the main colony and typically the rats you see during daylight.

Kill rats on sight!  I hope you don't have to resort to poison.  In the meantime, wake at dawn and you should get a lot more opportunities to nail these vermin!  Good luck and stock up on good shooting and CHEAP pellets!  If you see lots of rats, you should ask folks around to allow your buddies to go get em at night.

THANX guys.yes RWS the rest has beads in just like a hackysack I have kicked a few. I agree ED the best way to see a rifle or pistol is next to some exterminated vermin or harvested game.Matt the Panther is very harmonious it is music to my ears.JOHNNY QUEST I do like rat hunting maybe alittle to much my family thinks I'm obsessed.JQ if you go back to page 3 of the hunting gate and look for fat rat you will see what I think is an 18 incher the kind us rat hunters dream about.BumbleShot I don't live in the country I live in the suburbs but there are plenty of rats just the same.I usually see them around dusk or dawn any time during the night and ocassionly at noon.
