Back in 1976...I was an 18 year old pot smokin hippie just tryin to go on a big adventure. But about 2 years into my4 years of service in the Navy, I started to realize what a great country we had and how lucky I was to be serving it. I went to other countrys, and they didn't have the freedom and advanced civilization that we have here in the USA. I went into the Navy as a boy and came out a Man, livin in a free country where, among other things,we have respect and love for our bretheren, whoever they may be....

But when our bretheren can't respect the Flag, well that is just unacceptable!!! What the hell??? And that guy wants to be President? He dont even deserve to be in this country. And he needs to catch a .25 pellet in his ass on his way out!!!

The only other choice is Mcain, and he's lookin a whole lot better than Omygama Alibabaa. I normally dont do politics either...but I had to balk at the disrespect. Yuck.

 Well, might as well accept that there's a distinct possibility that we'll have to get used to saying "President Obama", like it or not. Who knows what'll happen between now and November, but it's a close race at this point.

 Anyway, our system of checks and balances will keep us above water. Obama isn't going to be able to enact his Marxist Utopian dreams here. Just ain't gonna happen. We may have to fix some bad policy in a few years, but we'll survive.

 Worst thing that I can see happening on his watch is a nuclear Iran. He's not gonna stop 'em. Iran with a nuke is pretty bad, I know, but frankly I wouldn't bet my bottom dollar on them ever bein' able to nuke anyone, 'cept maybe themselves. 7th Century culture and high technology don't mesh too well. If you've ever looked at their state website you'll have seen that nearly every single photograph they have documenting their technological accomplishments has been photoshopped to hide the screw ups. Photoshopped badly, at that.

 Sure would be nice to get someone as president who had a clue as to what they were doing, and we can keep our fingers crossed, but the bottom line is that no matter who wins it's not gonna be the end of the world as we know it. We're strong, we have a good system.

Well, this country has been slowly but surely taken over by those who believe the 1st amendment granted freedom FROM religion, not OF religion, and that the 10 commandments are really the 10 useless suggestions. Meat is bad, God is nonexistent, as is satan. Guns are bad, racial EQUALITY must be forced down the throats of everyone(how many here understand the problem with that one?), and lower animals are not only our equals, but are actually human, too.

And we're expected to believe that the BAS-TARD son of a Muslim African and an atheist SKANK is what we need running this country.

If you think things were interesting during the Rodney King trial or after the OJ joke, I mean, trial, Just wait until Obama-yo'mama gets the reins. Between him and a congress controlled by socialist party 1, we're going to be screwed. People in our once great land have forgotten how bad the Clintonistas were.
Just wait until President and Mrs "I hate whitey" get to be the HNICs.  Goodbye USA, hello United Militant Black Muslim Hood. People had d@mned well better wake up from this knee-jerk, bleeding heart, socialist daydream before they see, firsthand, what full on socialism is REALLY like.

Very good points Jeremy. I can not believe that the US could elect someone with those ideals. My God, we are really in for some bad times. If I am lucky, or unlucky.. I should have no more than 10 years left after this election. I hope he does not get elected on my final shift....

I see a dishonest Chicago politician who can't talk about his relationship with liberal anarchists, or crooked Chicago politico-business connections, who spent much of his young life outside of the USA, raised and educated as a Moslem in his formative years. Dad an Arab.  Mom an atheist.  Dad a Communist revolutionary. Jeremiah Johnson his Christian religious mentor.  Absolutely NO executive experience.  Never had a real job.  Got elected to the Senate by managing to get all of his opponents disqualified on technicalities, and who can't deliver a coherent sentence without a TelePrompTer in front of him.  I don't agree with McCain on immigration, global warming, and energy policy but he is a veteran, and a war hero, and as best I can tell, is fairly honest.  I am told by an acquaintance who flew under McCain as his wing commander that McCain was the meanest sum B he had ever met.  Biden is a joke.  Palen has more executive experience than Obama, and as best I can tell, an honest reformer with good intentions.  Most popular Governor in approval rating of all the 50 states (or 54 states if you count 'em like Obama.  She seems like the genuine article, and I instinctively like her more than any of the other 3 personalities in the mix. I just hope, should she become the next VP, that the Washington political machine doesn't destroy her and her family.  She seems like a good person.  We're going to get a big change either way. that's for sure.

God Bless America and God help us all make the right decisions in this and future elections.  We will need some help here.

This is the first time I have actually been worried about the future of our nation.  I understand the whole checks and balances system but at the moment we have a democrat(pronounced socialist) controlled Senate, House of Rep's, majority of Supreme court justices are activists and now the possibility of them having the presidency.  I don't see the checks and balances system stopping Obama from doing whatever he wants.  Look how hard it was to stop the amnesty bill for illegal(not undocumented) immigrants and that was with a Republican president. People almost had to revolt against there own congressman to get that stopped and even then it was almost passed. When comes to maintaining the status quo(Mccain) or moving down(Obama) I grudgingly prefer the latter.  I have a real problem with Mccain on a lot of issues but with communist Russia rebuilding, Iran's nuke program continuing, and the spread of militant Islam we need the "meanest SOB I've ever known" to be in charge.  Even with our problems America on a bad day beats any other country on their best day.  And we still have the 2nd amendment in case things get to bad here.

Oh, y'know, I agree with you and all. If Obama were to win I'd really prefer to have at least a republican congress to offset him.

 I guess I'm just tired. I've been hearing "Doomsday" since I was old enough to listen about every issue that comes down the pike, and I've just lost patience with it.

 I think Obama's a bad choice. That he'll do more harm than good with his left-wing belief system, and that we're all gonna have to deal with the consequences and spend a lot of time repairing the damage after he leaves office if he's elected. Most of us have had good times and bad times and all that's in between and I'd honestly expect more of the same for the foreseeable future.

 Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe some action of Obama will directly, say, encourage Iran to give a nuke to terrorists and we'll be screwed.

 Or maybe they'll do that anyway if McCain wins. I don't know.

 We can only control so much. For me, it just seems like a great waste of energy being alarmist about everything. Hey, maybe I'm just burned out. Maybe I should be alarmist.

 We'll see. I'm just gonna vote and let the chips fall where they may, and count on our system to pull us through. I don't really know if anything was ever gained by me gettin' red faced and pounding on tables like I used to do, y'know?

 Oh, c'mon. There's a vast difference between defending yourself or fighting for what is right in the context of the American Revolution or WWII and not blowing the partisan bickering between democrats and republicans during an election out of proportion.

 Surely you're not saying that we should start a shooting war with whatever American political party opposes ours.

 I certainly do believe that our forefathers thoughtfully considered what was just and right and reasonable in their particular situation, then acted appropriately.

 One doesn't have to be an alarmist to do what is right.

 But don't worry, I have not been offended. Not YET! haha

My point is not to start shooting !, but to watch and be prepared for what ever inevitability archives !

If we stand by and watch, and do nothing during the intrum, We may out positioned to respond in any manner. Shooting is the least preferred method of dealing with a domestic problem, but if the People stand tall, against future and past tyranny, with the showing of strength and dedication, change may be accomplished !

The longer We wait, the more entrenched and prepared the opposition will become ! Remember: Germany, and Hitlers rise to power! Looks familiar... doesn't it !!!
